Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Release Date and Miclaw Features Announced

Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Release Date and Miclaw Features Announced

Xiaomi announced its artificial intelligence assistant miclaw, which can manage applications on its own, and the release date of its new operating system HyperOS 4.

Xiaomi, one of the leading names in the smartphone market, officially announces the release date of the highly anticipated new generation operating system HyperOS 4 and details of the autonomous artificial intelligence assistant Miclaw to be integrated into the system.

Speaking at the meeting where the company’s first quarter financial reports of 2026 were announced, Xiaomi President Lu Weibing stated that the new operating system will meet with users in July or August this year.

The company sees artificial intelligence as the biggest growth opportunity in the smartphone industry and takes the cross-device ecosystem to a different dimension with Miclaw, which can perform cross-application missions on its own.

This announcement, which comes after a successful quarter that generated revenue of 99.1 billion yuan, is creating great excitement in the technology world.

System Architecture is Rewritten with HyperOS 4

Xiaomi’s new generation operating system includes much larger structural changes in the background compared to previous versions. Although Company President Lu Weibing did not give a name directly during the meeting, he confirms that this version, which he calls “new generation”, will be released in July or August.

Leaks and technical details clearly show that this system is HyperOS 4, which has been tested for a long time.

The company plans to maximize system performance, speed and power efficiency by replacing certain parts of the existing Android infrastructure with a local architecture it has developed.

However, users do not need to worry about app compatibility; Because Xiaomi continues to keep the basic services of the Android ecosystem in the system, ensuring that all popular applications run smoothly.

Miclaw: Transitioning from Classic Assistants to Autonomous Spies

The biggest and most talked about innovation of HyperOS 4 is, of course, the autonomous artificial intelligence assistant called Miclaw.

Unlike traditional voice assistants, Miclaw is not only a tool that provides easy answers to the questions asked, but turns into an execution center with system-level powers.

This technology, built on the company’s big language model called MiMo, works with a four-step logic cycle of “Perception, Association, Judgment and Action”.

For example, the assistant can, with a single voice command from the user; It finds suitable photos from the gallery, edits them, goes to the messaging application and sends them to the relevant person, and then connects to the Xiaomi Home ecosystem and brings the smart devices at home to the desired state.

Lu Weibing emphasizes that the combination of “artificial intelligence” and “miclaw” is the biggest milestone for the company this year. The system, which attaches great importance to privacy and security, processes user information locally within the device, keeps the individual context in its memory, and optimizes itself over time according to the user’s daily habits.

Xiaomi’s Rise in the Premium Segment Continues

The new operating system and artificial intelligence breakthroughs coincide with Xiaomi’s steady growth in financial statements. According to the data shared at the first quarter benefit meeting of 2026, the company manages to achieve total revenue of 99.1 billion yuan and adjusted net profit of 6.1 billion yuan.

The technology giant, which has been in the top three globally in smartphone shipments for 23 consecutive quarters, directs its aims entirely to the premium segment.

According to published official reports, the global average sales price of Xiaomi smartphones increased by 8.2 percent compared to the previous year, breaking a new record in the company’s history.

In the Chinese market alone, the share of high-end devices in total sales reaches 23.5 percent. Combining its hardware power with hyper-connected and highly intelligent software, the company redefines the boundaries in the smartphone industry with HyperOS 4 and Miclaw ecosystem.
