Volkswagen’s new all-electric model, ID, developed specifically for the Chinese market. Unyx officially introduced 07. Prepared by the Volkswagen Anhui joint venture, this vehicle is the first D-segment sedan model to use the brand’s new generation CEA architecture, which emerged in cooperation with Xpeng.
New Volkswagen ID. Unyx 07 was offered to consumers in the Chinese market with two different hardware options. While the entry-level Pure version has a list price of approximately $19,100, it drops to $16,200 with the launch special campaign.

On the design side, the vehicle reflects Volkswagen’s new “wind-breaking” design language. The U-shaped front design, LED matrix headlights and the illuminated gold brand logo are among the striking details of the car.
The sloping roof line and liftback structure in coupe form give the vehicle a sporty appearance. ID. Unyx 07 has a length of 4,853 mm, a width of 1,852 mm and a height of 1,566 mm, while the wheelbase was announced as 2,826 mm.

Adopting a technology-oriented approach in the cabin, Volkswagen includes a 10-inch digital instrument panel and a 15-inch central multimedia screen. There is also a 27-inch augmented reality head-up display and a 12-inch second screen on the passenger side.
Powered by the Qualcomm 8676 platform, the system offers natural language processing and advanced voice command features thanks to its artificial intelligence-based large language model. The interior includes a 12-speaker HiFi sound system, 30-color ambient lighting and a 1.6 square meter panoramic glass ceiling.
While the luggage capacity is offered as 711 liters in standard use, this volume can be increased up to 1,580 liters by folding the rear seats.
Performance and driving assistance systems
ID on the performance side. Unyx 07 hits the road with a single electric motor producing 170 kW of power. This system, which produces approximately 228 horsepower, is supported by a 60 kWh capacity LFP battery pack.

According to China’s CLTC norms, the vehicle can offer a range of up to 558 kilometers on a single charge. For the model whose maximum speed is 160 km/h, Volkswagen stated that a version with a larger battery will come in the future.
Two different options are offered in driving assistance systems, and the standard version has the Autopilot feature with highway assistance. In the more advanced package, urban autonomous driving functions are activated by adding a LiDAR sensor.

Deliveries of the LiDAR-equipped version are planned to begin at the end of 2026. The memory parking system offered as standard in the vehicle and the feature of autonomous parking for 2 kilometers also attract attention.
