Tesla is making a significant change in the Turkish market simultaneously with Europe. The company is preparing to remove the one-time purchase option it offers for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature.

Currently, users can add this feature to their vehicles permanently by paying 228,480 TL. However, the deadline for those who want to benefit from this opportunity is 21 May 2026.

The transition to the subscription system begins

After the specified date, the FSD feature will no longer be available for purchase with a one-time payment. Instead, the feature will be offered through a subscription system that users can access by paying a monthly fee.

It is not yet clear how much this monthly subscription fee will be for users in Türkiye. In addition, there is no official statement about when the FSD feature will be activated at full capacity on Turkish roads.

A similar change will also apply to the Enhanced Autopilot package worth 115,260 TL. The one-time purchase opportunity for this package will end on May 21, 2026.

Preparations continue in the Turkish market

It was noteworthy that Tesla recently published job postings for vehicle operator positions in Istanbul. These announcements were considered as a concrete step in the process of adapting FSD technology to Turkish roads.

This move of the company constitutes an important turning point for the future of autonomous driving technologies in Türkiye. Time will tell how the transition from a one-time purchase model to a subscription system will affect user experience and accessibility.
