Skywell Electric Vehicle Fire Victim Shares His Experience

Skywell Electric Vehicle Fire Victim Shares His Experience

Skywell ET5 electric vehicle fires continue to be a topic of discussion. The victimized user, Eser Yılmaz, recounted the issues he experienced after the vehicle fires and the process he went through with the distributor.

Fire incidents in vehicles belonging to the Skywell brand, which has attracted attention in the electric car market, continue to worry users. Eser Yılmaz, a guest on automotive journalist Taylan Özgür Dil’s YouTube channel, shared in detail the process that resulted in his vehicle catching fire and the problems he encountered afterward.

Yılmaz emphasized that all periodic maintenance of his vehicle was done on time, that it did not undergo any random software intervention, and that there was no damage record from an accident. These fires, especially those occurring in parked vehicles, have sparked a significant safety debate among Skywell users. Yılmaz stated that the hardship experienced was not limited to the fire alone, but that they also faced significant difficulties in the communication processes with the distributor company.

  • Skywell brand electric vehicle owners are experiencing serious safety concerns due to the sudden fires of their vehicles while parked.
  • Users claim that the distributor company’s approach in the aftermath of the fire was threatening and harsh.
  • The fact that maintenance periods in Turkey are much shorter than the standards in Europe and China is causing user reaction.
  • It is stated that a special inspection team from China is examining the ET5 fires in Turkey.

Victims Complain About the Distributor’s Attitude

Eser Yılmaz argued that the communication established with the distributor company after the fire disaster was quite unproductive and tense. Yılmaz stated that in addition to the material and moral losses they experienced, they also faced the company’s harsh attitude.

Users claim that the brand exhibited an attitude of avoiding taking responsibility rather than solving the technical problems. [Video] In particular, the uncertainties experienced in the warranty coverage and technical service processes of the vehicles seem to have pushed users to seek solutions on their own.

Differences in Maintenance Periods Draw Criticism

Maintenance intervals, which stand out as an application outside the general standards in the automotive world, have become another subject of debate for Skywell Turkey’s operation. The reduction of periodic maintenance intervals from 24 months or 40,000 kilometers in the Chinese and European markets to 6 months or 10,000 kilometers in the Turkish market is criticized by users.

Users state that this situation both increases costs and restricts the vehicle usage experience. Furthermore, the fact that even the most basic features, such as opening the trunk from the screen, are now priced among the factors negatively affecting customer satisfaction.

Chinese Delegation Continues Investigations

Taylan Özgür Dil confirmed that a technical investigation team from China has begun field work following the Skywell ET5 fires in Turkey.

The results of these investigations, aimed at determining the root cause of the fires and identifying safety deficiencies in the vehicles, are eagerly awaited. Users demand that the brand comply with international standards and produce lasting solutions to these safety issues.
