Saudi Arabia is entering the automotive sector with Ceer, the country’s first domestic car brand. Established through a partnership between the Public Investment Fund and Foxconn, this venture is central to the Vision 2030 plan as Saudi Arabia’s domestic car brand.

Ceer means “to drive forward” in Arabic, and the brand’s vehicle portfolio reflects this vision. The company aims to reach a product range of seven new models by 2030.

The Future of Automotive Vision

The first models unveiled, the Exobot sedan and SUV, showcase the brand’s future design language. These vehicles offer striking aesthetics in both sedan and SUV forms.

The gull-wing doors, named Shahin Wing, facilitate entry and exit while adding a dramatic touch to the design. This design, which lacks a B-pillar, makes accessing the second row quite practical.

Electrochromatic glass at the bottom of the doors can be darkened with a single touch. This feature provides passengers with greater privacy and visibility, especially in sunny climates.

Inside, there is a 48-inch digital instrument panel that covers the entire front console. This screen powers a special infotainment system inspired by the Riyadh skyline.

Developed to cope with hot climates, the Halo cooling mode creates a cool air barrier at passenger head height. A 10-inch central screen manages media controls, while there is another 8-inch screen for rear passengers.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support will be available in vehicles at launch. The infotainment system stands out as a proprietary intellectual property developed in collaboration with Foxconn and other partners.

Technical Specifications and Performance

Exobot models are equipped with a 112 kWh battery pack. This battery offers a range of 500 kilometers in the SUV model and at least 600 kilometers in the sedan model.

The vehicles have a three-motor structure producing 1,111 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque. The sedan model reaches 100 km/h from 0 in just over 2 seconds.

The 800V electrical architecture, with DC fast charging support, allows for reaching 80% charge in 30 minutes. This system, along with steer-by-wire technology, promises a precise driving experience.

Production will take place in a dedicated facility established in King Abdullah Economic City. The company plans to create 35,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2034.

Ceer is not only a car manufacturer, but also seen as a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification goals. Local production aims to reduce the country’s dependence on foreign sources in the automotive sector.
