Making important statements at the IAA Transportation 2024 exhibition, the new CEO of Mercedes-Benz Türk, Heiko Selzam, gave the green light for the possibility of producing electric trucks at the company’s Aksaray factory. Emphasizing that the Turkish market has strategic value for Daimler Truck operations, Selzam stated that local demand and market conditions will be decisive in the electric transformation process.

The brand, which aims to maintain its strength especially in the European market, announced that it is open to supporting its production capacity in Turkey with electric vehicle technologies. Heiko Selzam stated that Turkey is not only a sales market but also an indispensable center for the global logistics and production network. Selzam stated that the production facilities in Aksaray operate with high efficiency and reminds that the vehicles produced here are exported not only to the domestic market but also to a wide geographical area.
