TURKA and Altınay Robot Technologies have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for vehicle inspection processes in Turkey. Within the scope of this partnership, the aim is to use robotic systems, sensors, and advanced digital technologies in inspection processes. The systems to be developed aim to make physical measurements in hard-to-reach points of vehicles more standardized and repeatable. The information obtained will be recorded digitally and integrated with other inspection systems.

The cooperation opens the doors to a technological transformation in vehicle inspection operations. The parties aim to offer these systems, which will be developed in Türkiye, to foreign markets in the future.

Robotic systems and domestic technology

The design, system integration, and control infrastructure of the robotic systems to be used within the scope of the project are undertaken by Altınay Robot Technologies. Industrial robots developed by the GRASS platform within the Altınay Robot Group will work in conjunction with imaging systems.

The fact that the components such as robot drivers, servo motors, and control software to be used are domestically produced constitutes a valuable module of the project. It is aimed to offer this domestic technology infrastructure to vehicle inspection systems abroad in the future.

The TURKA New Generation Vehicle Inspection Sample Center, which has started operating in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, will be used to test these systems under field conditions. The developed technologies will be gradually integrated into operations in light of the data obtained from field applications.

The extent to which robotic systems will be used in vehicle inspection centers will become clear in the later stages of the project. Which inspections will be automated and how they will be integrated into existing inspection standards will be clarified through field applications.

A New Era with Prestige in 2027

TURKA is preparing to take over vehicle inspection services throughout Turkey from August 15, 2027. The company plans to continue this service for 20 years and aims to expand the scope of robotic systems during this period.

TURKA Executive Board Member Serhan Salman states that robotic systems will support the measurement and evaluation processes of technicians. However, it is emphasized that the final inspection decisions will remain the responsibility of the authorized worker under the current legislation.
