Samsung has expanded its testing for the One UI 9 update to many models, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, S24 and S23 series. Details about the features that will come with the new interface.
Samsung has accelerated the testing processes for the One UI 9 update, which it developed to take the user interface experience to the next level. The technology giant, which has so far only run a beta program for the Galaxy S26 series, has expanded the scope of the new software and started internal tests for many well-known models, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy A56, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 series. The South Korean manufacturer is working intensively to deliver this Android 17-based update to more devices. The company’s software department plans to support a wide range of devices in the ecosystem with this new version, which aims to increase users’ device performance and interface stability.
Update Process Spans a Wide Range of Devices
Samsung’s software development strategy continues to include mid-segment devices as well as current flagships.
Leaks confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold7 model has been tested with software with version number F966USQUACZF3, while the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy S23 series are also in development with their own software versions (A566BXXUBDZFB and S911BXXUAGZF9).
This shows that the company simultaneously continues its optimization efforts for current hardware.
The updates prepared by the company for the Galaxy S24, S24 +, S24 Ultra and S24 FE models are at the center of performance improvements.
New Foldable Models Are Introduced with Software
The first devices on which the One UI 9 version will reach the end user are expected to be the upcoming new generation foldable phones. According to industry expectations, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will be introduced at a special event to be held in London on July 22.
It is assumed that these devices will be the first Samsung products to be released with the One UI 9 interface based on Android 17. The strategy in question proves that Samsung continues its policy of combining software updates with hardware launches.
Software Development Work Continues Without Slowing Down
It was previously reported that Android 17-based internal tests have started on the Galaxy S24 FE model. The company determines software optimizations as a critical priority to increase the efficiency users get from their devices.
While the leading role of the Galaxy S26 series in the beta process continues, it is not yet clear when other models will be included in the public beta process. Samsung engineers continue to implement an extensive testing process to maintain system stability.
Samsung is expected to radically change the device experience with its new One UI 9 interface.
