Passport-Style Design
The biggest drawback of classic “Fold” models was their narrow, remote-controlled-like outer screens when closed. The Xiaomi 18 Fold solves this problem by directly changing the body ratio.
Offering a stable 5.38-inch OLED screen when closed, the device allows you to easily complete daily tasks such as messaging and notification tracking with one hand.
When you open the device, you are greeted with a large, almost square working area of 7.58 inches with a resolution of 2364 x 1672 pixels.
The phone, which is approximately 5 mm thick when open and 10.7 mm thick when closed, weighs only 219 grams. For a foldable model with a 6,000 mAh battery and a massive internal screen to maintain this weight level is a major engineering achievement.
While the panel offers a peak brightness of 4,000 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate, the chronic fold mark problem of foldable screens is minimized, though not completely eliminated, thanks to the new generation Dragon Bone hinge structure and dual-layer UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) glass.

The biggest surprise under the hood of the device is Xiaomi’s own XRing O3 chipset, which reduces its dependence on third-party chip manufacturers.
This 10-core processor, manufactured using a 3nm fabrication process, houses a powerful NPU unit that focuses directly on on-device AI processes and is optimized with MiMo license models.
Combined with the multi-window support of the HyperOS interface, the XRing O3; Watching video streams on one side while editing documents or taking notes smoothly on a split screen is incredibly effortless.
On the camera side, the classic weakness of foldable phones is completely a thing of the past. At the heart of the triple rear camera setup developed in collaboration with Leica is a 200-megapixel main sensor.
This sensor is accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. Reviewing the high-resolution photos taken by opening the device and processing them in editing software like Lightroom creates a portable studio experience for portable content creators.
Xiaomi addresses the high power consumption problem of foldable panels with its 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery technology. This high capacity is supported by 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
