IKEA has released a new mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Called the Skyrim IKEA mod, this content offers players the Kallax shelving unit as a companion. Available on PC and Xbox platforms, this free mod aims to solve players’ inventory management problems. IKEA describes this project as a practical answer to the need for organization in the game world.

Inventory Management with Kallax Storageborn

IKEA states that during the development of this mod, they took into account the difficulties players faced in moving and organizing items in the game. The company states that it aims to bring real-world smart storage solutions to a digital environment.

Players must complete a series of missions to access this content. This mission begins at the Dwemer furniture store and allows players to discover the origins of Kallax.

During the mission, players must defeat an enemy called the Clutter Golem. This process is designed as an obstacle that must be overcome before reaching the practical storage solution offered by the mod.

In-Game Equipment and Features

Along with a companion, the mod also offers players various in-game items. Among these items is a weapon called Allenblade.

The package also includes a special blue and yellow themed armor set. Players can customize their characters with themed cutouts such as the Meatball helmet.

A special command is required to summon the Kallax Storageborn companion in-game. Players summon this shelf unit by saying “Aya Key Yah”.

IKEA’s interest in the technology world doesn’t end with this mode. The company had previously taken steps into the gaming world with products such as the Xbox Gaming Den furniture series.

This mod can be downloaded completely free of charge from Bethesda and is offered as completely optional content. Players can choose to manage the clutter in their inventory in this way.
