Thanks to these optimizations, the goal is for the device to operate for a long time without needing a large and heavy battery. Battery life will vary depending on the graphical load of the game being run and the software optimizations applied.
It is stated that the device, running demanding PlayStation 5 games, can offer a usage time of 3 to 5 hours on a full charge. It is reported that in independent productions with lower system requirements and in optimized PlayStation 4 games, this duration can increase to 6 to 7 hours.
Sony has not yet officially introduced a new portable console under the name PSP 3. All current technical information is based on information leaked from the development process, and the specifications of the final product may differ when the process is complete.
