Duolingo launched its new feature in June, which allows you to restore learning series lost due to forgetfulness.
Duo, the green owl well known to Duolingo users, now forgives learning streaks interrupted due to forgetfulness. The platform, which offers courses in many fields from language learning to chess, from mathematics to music, is taking a new step to maintain the motivation of users.
With the announcement made on Monday, a temporary solution is offered for users who have lost their series. This new feature is available only during the month of June.
How Does Serial Recovery Work?
Users who want to regain their interrupted streak must complete three courses in a single session. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, the losing streak must be at least 30 days long.
The app automatically gives eligible users an option to revive their series. Users can continue where they left off by following this guidance.
According to Duolingo information, more than 15 million users have series that have been running for more than a year. In fact, some users’ streaks reach up to 13 years, according to unofficial sources.
Missing a lesson even for a day due to reasons such as travel, illness or busyness can cause years of effort to be wasted. This is one of the issues that users complain about the most and expect a solution to.
User Demands Met
Company officials state that users always demand the return of lost series. In the last year alone, tens of thousands of students from more than 80 countries have applied to get their series back on social media.
Taking this heavy demand into consideration, Duolingo launched a special application for the month of June. This feature aims to help users who have lost their streak regain their motivation.
The platform continues to provide such flexibilities to support users’ learning habits.
So, would you use this feature if you lost your Duolingo series?
