The Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s Energy Transformation Department has shared official data for July 2026 with the public. This information reveals the current state of electric vehicle and charging infrastructure throughout Turkey.

According to the latest figures, the total number of electric vehicles in Türkiye has risen to 464,873. In the same period, the total number of charging points across the country reached 46,665.

Current data on charging infrastructure

The detailed report released by the Authority also reveals the distribution of charging points according to their types. Accordingly, the number of AC charging points is 26,204, while the number of DC charging points offering fast charging is recorded as 20,461.

ZES continues to hold the market leadership in terms of socket count. ZES is in first place on the list with a significant difference between itself and its Competitors.

In second place is Trugo, a charging network established by the domestic car initiative Togg. In the third place is Voltrun, a charging network operator.

Rapid growth in the electric vehicle market

EMRA, recalling data from previous years, also draws attention to the rapid growth trend in the electric vehicle market. While there were 14,896 electric cars in Turkey in 2022, this number increased to 80,826 in 2023.

By 2024, the number of electric cars on the road reached 185,513. The institution announced the total number of electric vehicles as 373,733 at the end of last year.
