Hyundai has launched the fully electric version of its Staria minivan, which stands out with its futuristic design, in the European market. The Hyundai Staria Electric brings the advanced technologies inherited from the brand’s well-known Ioniq series to the minivan segment.

The vehicle, which has proven itself with gasoline, diesel and hybrid engine options, is now also on the roads with an electric version. This new model stands out with its 800-volt charging architecture, which is not often seen in the minivan segment.

Technical specifications and performance details

The new vehicle has an 84 kWh capacity battery and an electric motor that produces 218 horsepower. Offering a range of up to 430 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, the Staria Electric can be charged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes thanks to DC fast charging.

Hyundai engineers have reinforced the body with additional sound insulation materials to further enhance the natural quietness of the electric motor. The suspension system has also been optimized to balance the additional weight of the battery and provide a smoother ride.

The electric Staria continues to uphold the valuable practical features of commercial vehicles. The vehicle can offer a towing capacity of up to 2 tons, competing with many diesel rivals.

Thanks to the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology in the model, electric tools and electronic devices can be powered directly from the vehicle’s battery. This feature provides users with great flexibility, especially in business applications.

Interior Design and European Prices

Inside, the long wheelbase and massive glass surfaces continue to offer a spacious atmosphere. Two 12.3-inch screens are located on the dashboard, while physical buttons for climate control are retained.

This arrangement supports ergonomic use by allowing the driver easier access to basic controls. The entry-level Trend trim package of the Hyundai Staria Electric, which has entered the European market, has a price tag of 57,500 euros.

The price of the top-of-the-line flagship Calligraphy version starts at 67,000 euros. An additional 2,100 euros is charged for the driving assistance package and the package including higher-level equipment.
