The 19-inch wheel option, which was surprisingly added to the configurator yesterday for the Tesla Model Y Turkish market, disappeared today with its prestige. Moreover, this option was offered free of charge. The option, which was removed in a short time, sparked new discussions about Tesla’s Türkiye strategy.

Option Open Only 24 Hours

The Tesla Model Y 19-inch wheel option, which was briefly offered for the Tesla Model Y Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) version, was removed from the configurator in just one day.

The option, which was opened for order on May 22 without any additional price, started to not be included in the lists as of May 23.

This development created confusion, especially among Tesla users and potential buyers. Model Y, which is frequently criticized in Turkey for its price policy, has also been discussed for a long time in terms of its rim design.

While the sudden addition of the 19-inch Crossflow rim, which was not offered before, was welcomed positively, its removal in a short time raised questions.

International Price Difference Remarks

Tesla Türkiye has not yet made an official statement on the issue. On the other hand, it was noteworthy that this option, which was offered with a difference of approximately 1500 dollars in the USA and 2200 euros in Germany, was free of charge in Turkey. It was commented that this situation was positioned in this way so that the tax bracket would not be affected.

19-inch wheels offer approximately 6% poorer range than smaller wheels. Although this creates a disadvantage for range-oriented users, the advantage it provides in terms of appearance cannot be ignored.

Türkiye Price and Current Situation

Tesla Model Y Türkiye price is currently at 2,474,985 TL. The model was initially put on sale with a starting price of 2,349,300 TL, and then campaigns such as EAP (Enhanced Autopilot) support and 12,000 km Supercharger gift were offered.

However, there is no incentive at the moment. The delivery schedule appears to be August–September.

While there is no official statement from Tesla, users are wondering whether the 19-inch wheel option will be offered again.
