Fiat introduced the new SUV model Grizzly, the older brother of the Grande Panda. All the details about the affordable Grizzly and its future plans are here.
Fiat introduced the new Grizzly crossover series, a larger version of the Grande Panda model. These new vehicles aim to strengthen the brand’s presence in the critical C segment in Europe.
Grizzly, which will be available in both fastback and SUV forms with sharper boundaries, is positioned as an affordable family vehicle. Fiat CEO Olivier François states that this model was specially designed for Europe, Latin America and the Middle East and African regions. Therefore, it is still unclear whether the vehicle will be offered for sale in Türkiye.
Stellantis’ New Strategic Model
Grizzly stands out as a link that completes the Panda and Grande Panda families. The vehicle, introduced at Stellantis’ investor day in Michigan, was developed with the aim of increasing the brand’s market share and revenues.
The model is built on Stellantis’ cost-effective Smart Car platform, which is also used in vehicles such as Grande Panda, Citroën C3 and Vauxhall Frontera. Grizzly, which is expected to be officially introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October, will compete with rivals such as Dacia Duster and Skoda Kamiq.

The vehicle will be offered to consumers with fuel, hybrid and electric engine options similar to the Grande Panda. This new series is seen as a module of Fiat’s strategy to increase its activity in the affordable car market and reach new customer groups.
Future Plans and New Models
Fiat’s efforts to expand its product range do not end only with Grizzly. The company is also working on a new four-seat microcar that will be positioned above the Citroën Ami-based Topolino and an electric urban vehicle inspired by the 1980s Panda model.

This new entry-level electric vehicle, which is expected to have a price tag below 15 thousand pounds, will be produced at the Pomigliano factory in Italy. This production line will also include Citroën’s new model, which will revive the 2CV name.
Unlike Citroën, Fiat has not yet shared the design of its new city car in detail. However, Olivier François states that the new model will not only be the revival of an icon, but also the new icon of the future.
