BLUETTI introduced its new product, FridgePower, which targets refrigerators directly, unlike standard portable power stations. The device serves as a special uninterruptible power supply for the refrigerator to ensure food safety during power outages.

Unlike traditional power supplies, this system was developed with a slim and modern design to be placed on or next to the refrigerator. When there is a power outage, the device activates and ensures that the refrigerator continues to operate.

Pricing and specifications

BLUETTI FridgePower is available for pre-order on Kickstarter as of April 16, and the campaign will continue until May 31. While the starting price for the standard unit is set at $759, the set offered with the BlueCell 200 battery pack goes on sale for $1,398.

The device has an energy storage capacity of 2,016 Wh and uses LiFePO4 battery technology. Offering a continuous power output of 1,800 W, the system weighs approximately 20 kilograms and aims to maintain at least 80 percent of its capacity for 10 years or 4,000 cycles.

Users can instantly monitor the status of the system and manage the power flow via the BLUETTI application. The application also allows timed usage options that allow the device to be charged during hours when electricity prices are low.

Ease of use and expandability

FridgePower offers a very simple interface during the installation phase, and the touch screen panel that comes with it can be fixed on the refrigerator with a magnet. Data such as outdoor temperature, humidity rate and battery charge status can be easily displayed on this panel.

The energy capacity of the system can be increased by establishing a parallel connection with BlueCell 200 batteries. It becomes possible to reach a capacity of 8,064 Wh with up to three additional batteries in total.

The device can be used as a backup power source not only for refrigerators, but also for other household items such as Wi-Fi routers, computers or coffee machines. The system automatically performs a full discharge and charge cycle every three months to maintain cell balance and ensure long-lasting use.
