Volvo Turkey announced via advertisements on the social media platform Instagram that the new electric Volvo sedan model ES90 will be available for sale in Turkey very soon. This development stands out as a valuable module of the brand’s strategy to expand its electric vehicle portfolio.
The ES90, whose official price in Turkey has not yet been announced, attracts attention with its contemporary design lines. In particular, the large LED lighting group positioned on the sides of the rear window stands out as one of the most obvious details in the vehicle’s exterior design.
Technical Specifications and Performance
The ES90 is a model developed based on Volvo’s SPA2 platform. Thanks to its 800V architecture, the vehicle offers quite fast charging capabilities and can gain a range of 300 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging at stations that can provide 350 kW of power.
The model has three different versions, each catering to different performance requirements. The single-motor, rear-wheel-drive version promises a range of approximately 640 kilometers with its 245 horsepower engine and 92 kWh battery.
For those seeking more power, the twin-motor version, with motors on the front and rear axles, produces a total of 442 horsepower. This option, with a 106 kWh battery capacity, offers a range of approximately 700 kilometers, making it convenient for users on long journeys.
At the top of the series is the ES90 Twin Engine Performance version. Continuing to offer a range of 700 kilometers with its 106 kWh battery, this model produces a total of 670 horsepower and can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Interior and Technological Infrastructure
Inside the vehicle, there is the current dual-screen console design familiar from the new generation Volvo models. The sedan, which boasts a great audio experience, is equipped with a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins stereo sound system.
On the software side, it is based on Google’s Android version specifically developed for vehicles. This system aims to make the digital experience inside the vehicle more fluid and integrated for users.
A special management software provided by Breathe Battery Technologies is used for battery safety and efficiency. Additionally, the vehicle is supported by a new generation infrastructure specifically designed to withstand high temperatures.
Developed with a sustainability-focused production approach, the ES90 utilizes recycled materials. 29% of the aluminum, 16% of the polymers, and 18% of the steel in the production process are sourced from recycled materials.
Two Nvidia Drive AGX Orin processor units are used for safety and driver assistance systems. This hardware allows the vehicle to process complex driving information quickly.
