Tesla continues its investments in its high-speed charging network in Turkey without slowing down. The company announced the opening of its new Tesla Supercharger station in Izmit, Kocaeli, via its official X account.

This new station, which is of great value to drivers in the Kocaeli region, is located at 1 E80 Kocaeli. Designed to meet the charging needs of electric vehicle owners in the region, the facility stands out with its strategic location.

Technical Specifications of the New Station

The newly opened Supercharger station is equipped with high-performance charging technology. The facility has a total of 12 different charging units, each capable of providing up to 250 kW of power output.

This high power capacity allows Tesla vehicles to recharge their batteries in a very short time. The 250 kW charging speed offers a critical technological advantage, saving time for drivers on long journeys.

The E80 route where the station is located is one of Turkey’s busiest main arteries. This allows electric vehicle users to access a fast and reliable charging point during their travels.

Future Investments and Expansion Plans

Max De Zegher, a senior executive responsible for Tesla’s charging network operations, shared valuable information regarding expansion plans in Turkey. In a statement made on October 29, 2025, De Zegher stated that six new locations across Turkey are in the production phase.

With these new locations, a total of sixty new charging points are targeted to be put into service very soon. Company officials emphasize that they are working in Plaid mode, which promises a high-performance charging experience for Turkish customers.

With the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Turkey, the value of these types of fast charging stations is increasing every day. Tesla aims to maximize the user experience by intensifying its infrastructure work.

This new station, which has been put into service in Izmit, stands out as a concrete step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its charging network throughout Turkey. How do you think Tesla’s charging network expansion in Türkiye will affect electric vehicle usage?
