One of the most recognizable models in the mid-segment sedan market, the Volkswagen Passat Pro has officially been unveiled with its 2027 model year update. Developed in partnership with SAIC-Volkswagen and continuing to offer pure gasoline engine options, the new Passat Pro stands out with its advanced digital cockpit technologies, renewed design details, and attractive launch price.

Offered in five different trim levels in the Chinese market, the model maintains its claim in its segment, especially with its interior screen experience and engine options.

Subtle Design Touches and a Digitalized Cockpit

The new model retains its overall design lines while featuring several critical visual enhancements. The front of the vehicle features IQ.Light matrix LED headlights and a darkened wide air intake grille. At the rear, the taillights that extend the entire length of the vehicle are accompanied by an illuminated Volkswagen logo.

The vehicle, which retains the traditional mechanical door handles, is offered to consumers in four different color options: Bit Gray, Super Black, Laser White, and Momentary White, and with a new two-tone alloy wheel design.

Inside, technological features take a step forward. In addition to the driver-focused 15-inch massive multimedia screen in the top trim packages, there is an 11.6-inch independent entertainment screen on the passenger side.

In terms of comfort, heated and ventilated front seats, 360-degree all-around view and transparent chassis system, 10 airbags, Harman Kardon sound system, and electric tailgate are among the powerful features that stand out.

SAIC-Volkswagen announced the official list price for the model to be between 172,000 and 239,900 yuan.

However, with a limited-time periodic discount for the launch, the vehicle is available for between 139,900 and 209,900 yuan (approximately $19,600 – $29,500). The sales package also includes a lifetime warranty for the powertrain and trade-in support.
