WhatsApp has started testing a new feature for iOS that will allow you to use three different accounts within the same app.
The popular messaging application WhatsApp has taken a significant step to improve the user experience on the iOS platform by starting work on a new feature that will allow users to use three different accounts on the same device. Currently in beta development, this feature will allow users to manage three different phone numbers used for personal, business, or other purposes within a single application.
Previously offering support for only two accounts, the platform aims to increase flexibility in managing multiple accounts with this update. Although the feature is not yet generally available, WhatsApp is expected to provide this convenience to iOS users with future updates.
Triple Account Support Simplifies User Experience
WhatsApp’s current multi-account feature on iOS allows users to manage two different profiles through a single application. Now, the development team is working hard to take this a step further by expanding it to three accounts.
This innovation is a great convenience, especially for individuals who have more than one phone number. Now users can manage all their communication traffic from a single point, eliminating the need to carry different devices for different purposes.
Independence Between Accounts Continues to Be Preserved
In the new system, each account will continue to operate completely independently from others. WhatsApp maintains its existing security and privacy standards even when a third account is added. Each profile will have its own chat history, notification settings, media files, and backup options. This allows messages received in one account to be easily distinguished without getting mixed up with those in another account. In addition, security measures such as app lock can be configured differently for each account.
New Interface Design Awaits Users
The improved interface makes switching between accounts much easier for users. In the account list, which can be accessed through the settings menu, users will be able to view their active accounts along with their profile photos and phone numbers. A green checkmark will appear next to the active account, and a new profile can be quickly defined via the “Add account” option. Because the design parallels the existing two-account system, users won’t need to make extra effort to get used to the system.
Future Updates Eagerly Awaited
This feature, currently in the testing phase, has not yet been released to general beta users. WhatsApp is working to stabilize this new function and has not yet shared an official release date. Users can check the update notes that will be released later to see if this feature is available. This move by the company shows its commitment to meeting users’ expectations for more flexibility.
