Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) announced the results of the Car of the Year 2026 race in Türkiye. As a result of the voting, new Renault Cliotook the first place with a total of 3,360 points.

BMW iX3 took second place in the competition with 2,770 points. In third place was the domestic car Togg T10F, which collected 2,550 points.

Strong competition among the finalists

There were quite a few powerful models among the vehicles that made it to the finals for the 2026 Car of the Year title in Türkiye. BMW iX3, BYD Sealion 7, Citroën C5 Aircross, Hyundai Inster, Mercedes-Benz CLA, Renault Clio and Togg T10F competed fiercely for the grand prize.

These models were selected from a much larger list of candidates and made it to the finals. The first main candidates include Alpine A290, Audi A6, Audi Q5, Audi Q3, BMW X3, BMW There were also notable cars such as Skoda Enyaq Coupe, Renault 5, Volkswagen T-Roc, Volkswagen Tayron and Volvo EX30.

This classic competition organized by the Automotive Journalists Association is of great value in terms of evaluating the current models in the Turkish car market. The candidate list determined for 2026 included many new vehicles with both electric and internal combustion engine options.

The competition process includes a wide spectrum that reflects technological developments in the automotive world and consumer expectations. OGD members determined the most suitable car of the year by scoring the vehicles that made it to the finals according to various criteria. This first place achieved by Renault Clio once again confirmed the strong position of the model in the market.
