Tesla has updated the prices of the Model Y Premium versions it offers in the Turkish market. The 100,000 TL increase in the tax-free factory price, combined with the addition of Special Consumption Tax (SCT) and Value Added Tax (VAT), translates to an increase of approximately 200,000 TL for the consumer. The price of the entry-level rear-wheel-drive standard Model Y remained unchanged. Here is Tesla’s new Turkey price list and the critical SCT detail behind the standard version not receiving an increase.

Tesla Model Y Price List Updated

Tesla has updated the prices of the Model Y Premium options in the Turkish configurator upwards. The approximately 100,000 TL price increase directly increased the final turnkey price by around 200,000 TL for models in the high tax bracket.

Following the update, the claimed starting price of the Model Y Premium Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive version has increased to 3,906,000 TL, while the price of the dual-motor Long Range Four-Wheel Drive version has increased to 4,620,000 TL.

Current Tesla Model Y Turkey Prices

With the latest update, the current price table for the Tesla Model Y family in Turkey is as follows:

Model / Version Range 0-100 km/h Estimated Sales Price
Model Y (Rear-Wheel Drive – Standard) 455 km (WLTP) 7.5 sec 1,608,790 TL (Excluding Tax) / ~1,866,000 TL
Model Y Premium Long Range (Rear-Wheel) Drive) 609 km (Estimated) 7.6 sec 3,906,000 TL
Model Y Premium Long Range (Four-Wheel Drive) 622 km (WLTP) 4.8 sec 4,620,000 TL

Why Wasn’t the Standard Model Y Price Increased?

The most noteworthy detail in the price list is that there was no random increase in the list price of the entry-level standard Model Y. The main reason for this choice is the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) brackets and tax base limits for electric vehicles in Turkey.

Electric vehicles with a motor power not exceeding 160 kW and a tax-free base below the legal limit benefit from the lowest Special Consumption Tax (SCT) bracket of 10%. The standard Model Y is currently very close to this base limit. Even a symbolic increase of 1 TL in the tax-free price would move the vehicle to a higher tax bracket (40% SCT).

Since such a shift in the base would directly translate into a sudden tax increase of nearly 800,000 TL on the vehicle price, Tesla did not increase the standard model to maintain its competitive entry-level position.

In contrast, Premium versions with Long Range battery capacity and high motor power are essentially in a higher tax bracket, so simple price increases in these models only affect the final price based on current rates.
