Jetour, operating under Chery, introduces a remarkable technology with its new SUV model G700. The special version, called Ark Edition, is equipped with a system that allows the vehicle to move on water.
In the demonstration held recently at Yanqi Lake in the north of Beijing, it was seen that the large-sized SUV was successfully moving on the water. This capability was developed to provide safe passage, especially in emergency scenarios such as floods.
Amphibious Features and Technical Details
When the Jetour G700 comes into contact with water, it cuts off the power transfer to the wheels and activates the electric propellers. The vehicle benefits from an advanced gyroscopic stabilization system that allows it to remain stable while on water.
892 horsepowerThis model, which produces 1.135 Nm of torque, offers very high performance. The vehicle, which has similar dimensions to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
The vehicle uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine and two electric motors together. Three locked differential systems enable the model to demonstrate assertive performance in difficult terrain conditions.
Battery and Expansion into the Global Market
Jetour G700 carries a CATL battery pack with a capacity of 31.4 kWh. This battery system offers the vehicle a fully electric driving range of up to 150 kilometers.

Thanks to fast charging support, the battery reaches from 20 to 80 percent charge in just 10 minutes. This model, which is planned to be exported to global markets, attracts attention with the features it offers both on land and in water.
