Design, Device, Sony, On the other hand, Camera
Sony has completed preparations for its new representative in the mid-range smartphone market, the Sony Xperia 10 VIII. The company will officially present this new device to users at an event to be held on August 25th. Although Sony has not yet officially confirmed the name of the device, the information that a new Xperia product will be introduced makes expectations quite clear. This development brings with it the first concrete information about the design of the new model, which is eagerly awaited in the technology world.
Familiar Design Details
The newly leaked images reveal that the rear design of the Xperia 10 VIII model bears a strong resemblance to its predecessor, the Xperia 10 VII. The horizontal camera module and dual camera setup on the rear panel of the device appear almost identical to the previous model.
On the front, Sony is expected to maintain its design language. The absence of a notch or camera hole on the screen suggests that the top and bottom bezels will remain slightly thicker than the side bezels.
On the side of the device are the volume control buttons and the power button located just below them. The power button also functions as a fingerprint reader and, thanks to its integrated design, does not protrude.
Although a physical camera shutter is not clearly visible in this image, it is expected to be positioned on the right side, as in the previous model. The device held by the user presents a fairly familiar design profile.
Technical Specifications and Performance
Data revealed on the Geekbench platform provides valuable clues about what the device will offer in terms of hardware. According to the test results, the phone managed to score 871 points in the single-core test and 3,028 points in the multi-core test.
This information confirms that the device will have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor supported by 8GB of RAM. The fact that the processor choice remains the same as the previous model indicates that a major change in performance is not expected.
Another noteworthy detail is that the device will come with Android 16 out of the box. This version information seen in the Geekbench list proves that the phone will come with the current software infrastructure.
Sony seems to have preferred to maintain the existing structure instead of making major changes in terms of design and hardware in this new model. We will see together in the coming days which details the company will highlight at its official launch event.
Do you think Sony’s failure to change the design is a disadvantage for users, or is a familiar design more reassuring?
