Powerbank That Feels Like It Doesn’t Exist: Baseus Picogo Air AM71

Powerbank That Feels Like It Doesn’t Exist: Baseus Picogo Air AM71

Baseus introduced the world’s thinnest magnetic powerbank model, Picogo Air AM71, with a thickness of 6.8 mm. The device comes with 22.5W fast charging and NFC support.

Baseus introduces its new magnetic portable charger, Picogo Air AM71, to users in the global market, pushing the design boundaries in the portable accessory market.

This new 5000 mAh capacity powerbank, which went on sale all over the world after its launch in China, attracts attention with its thinness and hardware capabilities.

The device, which magnetically attaches to smartphones from the back surface and works in an integrated manner, offers high charging speeds and has a minimal profile that can be carried in the pocket.

Elegant Design and Powerful Hardware Together

This new portable battery clearly challenges its thick and heavy competitors on the market, especially with its physical dimensions. The device, which is only 6.8 millimeters thick, barely makes its presence felt when attached to the back of the phone, weighing an average of 105 grams.

To achieve this ultra-compact structure, Baseus is trying to significantly reduce the internal components. The device’s motherboard has an ultra-thin charging coil that is only 0.35 mm thick and a 0.15 mm NFC module.

All these thin electronic modules share their place with a high-density lithium battery cell. While the outer case is made entirely of solid aluminum, which helps with heat dissipation, the surface that directly contacts the back cover of the phone is covered with glass fiber material.

This small touch completely prevents the metal from rubbing against the glass or phone case and creating scratches.

Balance of Thermal Management and Battery Performance

Wireless charging technology produces high amounts of heat due to its working principle. As the battery gets thinner, removing this heat from the device becomes a big problem for engineers. Baseus solves this problem with an innovative and layered cooling system in the Picogo Air AM71 model.

The internal structure of the device includes an airgel layer and graphene sheets, which are also used in space technologies, with the aim of quickly removing heat from the battery cell. The corrugated design on the outer aluminum surface supports passive air flow and keeps the body cool during power transfer.

This accessory, which has a total power capacity of 5000 mAh, delivers a net power between 2750 and 3250 mAh to the phone when the usual power conversion losses in wireless transfer are taken into account.

According to the announced test data, this capacity is enough to charge a standard iPhone model by 68 percent and a Pro Max model with a larger battery by 60 percent. The product actually becomes an ideal companion for quickly meeting urgent power needs during the day, rather than charging the phone from zero to a hundred.

Fast Charging Capabilities and Smart NFC Technology

Designed to keep mobile devices unplugged, the model provides users with 15W power transfer on the magnetic wireless side. If you need a faster charge, you also have the opportunity to charge your smartphone wired at 22.5W using the USB-C port on the power bank.

To charge the internal battery of the unit, 20W input support is offered via the same Type-C port.

Full Control with Baseus App

The biggest difference that distinguishes this battery from its ordinary Competitors is the integrated NFC chip placed on the front. As soon as you bring your phone closer to the power source, the Baseus application automatically opens on your screen.

Through this modern software, you can see in detail the remaining charge percentage of the battery, current temperature charge, number of charging cycles and general battery health. While many devices have only four LED lights, such a detailed information display creates great comfort.

In addition, the application preserves the battery life of your phone by activating trickle charging mode, which reduces the power sent when the phone’s charge reaches 80 percent.

The model, which includes new safety standards against overcharging, high voltage and short circuit, also successfully passes severe temperature tests.

What is the Price of Baseus Picogo Air AM71?

Picogo Air AM71, which comes to the technology shelves with two different stylish color options, black and silver, includes a 60W braided USB-C cable suitable for high data transfer in the box.

The device sold for $69.99 in the United States; It is available to users with a price tag of 69.99 Euros in the European market and £69.99 in the UK. While the hardware war is getting heated in the market, for example, Belkin brand’s introduction of its new 10,000 mAh model with 45W fast charging support and digital display proves once again how many options the competition in the accessory world offers to consumers.
