On the front of the device, there is a 6.59-inch 1.5K resolution flat AMOLED panel, which is the same size as the previous generation V70. But the real exciting difference emerges in the refresh rate. The new phone, which exceeds the 120 Hz limit in the V70 model, is increased to 144 Hz.

The smartphone continues to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which was used in the last two generations. The Vivo V80 model is positioned as the international twin of the S60 model, which the company launched in its homeland of China last May.

The two devices share a largely common design with prestige in hardware and appearance. However, while the Vivo S60 model works with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, the V80 in the global market uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.

Other prominent premium features of the device include; It has IP68 and IP69 certifications that provide full protection against harsh weather and water rules, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader integrated under the screen. The highly anticipated phone is expected to become official in August.
