The Poco X8 Power 5G, a highly anticipated battery-focused device, will be launched in India on September 4th. An official teaser shared by Poco India confirms the device boasts a massive 10,000 mAh battery.

This new smartphone represents the highest battery capacity the brand has ever offered in a device. The company states that this capacity provides up to 3.5 days of use on a single charge.

Battery Capacity and Charging Technology

The 10,000 mAh battery offered by the device is backed by a promise of a six-year lifespan. Leaked information indicates that this battery supports 100W wired fast charging.

Reports also indicate that the phone will offer 27W of reverse charging support to charge other devices. These features suggest the device will function as a portable power bank.

Poco officials emphasize that battery life is one of the most important criteria in user experience. Therefore, the device is expected to stand out not only for its capacity but also for its long-term durability.

Technical Specifications and Durability

The Poco X8 Power 5G comes with a 6.83-inch screen capable of reaching a peak HDR brightness of 3,500 nits. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 technology is used to protect the screen.

The device’s durability is designed to offer high protection against dust and water with IP68 and IP69K certifications. These certifications show that the phone can be used reliably even in harsh environmental conditions.

On the hardware side, it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. This processor is optimized to ensure the device works efficiently in performance-demanding processes.

The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization. This main sensor is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 32 MP front camera.

On the software side, it is stated that it will receive four major Android operating system updates and six years of security patch support. Claims that the device is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max model are also widely circulated.

The standard Poco X8 5G model with a 9,000 mAh battery will also be introduced at the same event. All technical details, pricing, and information about its availability on Flipkart will be clarified at the event on September 4th.
