New BMW iX3 in Türkiye: How is BMW’s Türkiye Report Card?

The new BMW iX3, the first product of the Neue Klasse architecture that shapes BMW’s future, is offered for sale in the Turkish market with its 800V charging infrastructure and innovative “Heart of Joy” technology.

While the electric car revolution continues unabated, the new BMW iX3 model, the first representative of the “Neue Klasse” (New Class) architecture that shapes BMW’s future, hits the roads of Turkey with a special driving event held in the Rize-Artvin geography.

According to the details shared by Borusan Otomotiv officials; Equipped with innovative technologies such as high efficiency, 800 Volt fast charging infrastructure and “Heart of Joy”, the new iX3 aims to change the balance in the premium electric SUV segment. So, what kind of sales performance did BMW perform in our country in the past period? Let’s take a closer look at the current data.

Competition Is Intensifying in the Premium Electric Car Market

Automotive industry; It is experiencing a radical transformation around electrification, digitalization and sustainability. When we look at the data for 2025, we clearly see that this transformation is directly reflected in market shares. In 2025, when the Turkish premium automobile market closed with sales of approximately 153 thousand units, BMW reached a record sales figure of 34 thousand units and dominated approximately 30 percent of the market. The growth rate of the brand was recorded as 32 percent.

Although there is a contraction in the market in the first four months of 2026 due to difficult economic conditions and tight monetary policies, BMW maintains its strength by delivering 6 thousand 700 vehicles.

A particularly striking detail is that 50 percent of these delivered vehicles consist of fully electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This chart proves how steadily the demand for electric models is increasing.

Rebirth with Neue Klasse Architecture

This approach, which BMW calls “Neue Klasse”, is not actually a brand new idea. The company raised the brand from its ashes with a similar transformation move in the 1960s and laid the foundations of today’s legendary 3 Series and 5 Series. Now the same philosophy is reincarnated with the new BMW iX3 model for a fully electric future.

The new iX3 is not just a continuation of previous generations; It stands out as a turning point in automotive technology with its architecture developed from scratch. All new BMW models to be introduced in the coming years will also be based on this architecture.

Heart of Joy and Intelligent Driving Dynamics

One of the most important technological innovations in the vehicle is the central processing unit called “Heart of Joy”. This system allows four different computers to manage all the hardware and software functions of the car under a single roof. For users, this means an intuitive driving experience (“Symbiotic Drive”) and a strong bond with the car.

The 800 Volt charging architecture under the hood of the new iX3 meets long range expectations and significantly reduces charging times. Users can now charge their batteries and continue their journey in much shorter time than before. At the same time, a highly efficient recuperation system greatly supports the vehicle’s range in urban and extra-urban use.

Sustainability and Future Vision

Another striking aspect of the new model is its sustainability principles. Not only does it offer zero emissions during use, iX3 also exhibits an environmentally friendly character during the production process. The new generation factory established by BMW in Debrecen, Hungary was designed completely in accordance with circular economy and sustainability standards. The recycled materials used in the vehicle show how seriously the company takes its carbon footprint reduction targets.

The BMW iX3 is not alone in the premium D-SUV electric market. In front of it is the Tesla Model Y, which stands out with its technology and production speed and is one of the best-selling models in the market. On the German Competitors front, the Audi Q6 e-tron, which uses the PPE platform developed jointly with Porsche and has 800 Volt charging support, just like the iX3, represents a very assertive alternative. On the Mercedes-Benz side, the comfort-oriented EQE SUV and the EQB models, which stand out with their urban practicality, are trying to grab a share of the cake.

BMW iX3; By blending traditional driving dynamics with the innovative software infrastructure and the efficiency of the 800V architecture, it aims to differentiate itself from its competitors as a much more driver-oriented and sporty car. The “driving pleasure” motto, which the brand has been cherishing for years, combines with the capabilities of the digital world in this vehicle.

Pre-Orders Are Being Delivered

The new BMW iX3, whose pre-orders have been collected since mid-February, has attracted great interest from the moment it entered Türkiye. Delivery of 100 units from the first batch production has already reached their owners. In this new era, where technology, range and software integration come to the fore in the electric car race, it is obvious that the Neue Klasse architecture will bring a new breath to the industry.
