Liquid Glass Interface is Renewed with macOS 27

Liquid Glass Interface is Renewed with macOS 27

Apple is preparing to improve the Liquid Glass interface and add new features to the Safari browser with macOS 27. Here are the details.

Apple is preparing to make some changes to the Liquid Glass interface with the new macOS version that it will introduce at WWDC 2026. Instead of completely removing the interface design criticized by users, the company prefers to update it with small improvements as every year.

According to information shared by Bloomberg, this year’s revision process focuses specifically on the appearance of various interface elements on the Mac. Liquid GlassIt aims to eliminate readability problems caused by transparency and shadow effects in its design.

Readability Focused Improvements in the Interface

Apple aims to make its design language clearer and more understandable over time, similar to the edits it made to the Aqua interface in the past. The evolution of the flat design concept, which entered our lives with iOS 7, over the years reflects Apple’s traditional approach to the interface. This year’s macOS 27 update aims to improve the user experience by going through a similar improvement process.

In addition to interface changes, important innovations await users in the Safari browser. Apple continues to work to integrate the automatic arrangement of tabs feature, which is already available in rival browsers, into Safari.

New Steps for Safari and Tab Groups

The Tab Groups feature in Safari stands out as an area that has been expected to be further developed by users for a long time. The feature of switching between Tab Groups via the Shortcuts application on Mac currently challenges users due to its malfunctioning.

These features, which work smoothly on iOS and iPadOS platforms, are expected to come to the Mac side in an optimized form with macOS 27. Apple’s effort to bring the experience on mobile platforms to the desktop aims to make browser management more efficient.
