Automotive giant Hyundai shared detailed information about the new generation software platform Pleos Connect, which will be included in the fully electric model IONIQ 3, which is planned to be produced in Turkey. Pleos Connect, defined as the first major step of the company’s strategy to transition to software-driven mobility, was developed based on the principles of intuitiveness, security and openness.

This system, which emerged as a result of extensive user research conducted in four different UX studios around the world, aims to offer drivers a modern user experience that is comparable to mobile devices, with advanced artificial intelligence integration. This platform, which is expected to become standard in new electric vehicles that will come off the line in Turkey, aims to minimize distraction by allowing drivers to focus more on the road.

Pleos Connect Offers Drivers an Intuitive Experience

Pleos Connect has been designed with the simplicity that users are accustomed to on their smartphones, moving away from the complexity of traditional automobile interfaces. Expert teams working in centers in Seoul, Irvine, Frankfurt and Shanghai have used big data analysis to bring the most frequently used functions to the center of the screen. In this new structure, where graphical complexity is reduced, the navigation system has the capacity to respond much faster.

The new software architecture seamlessly combines digital and physical controls to improve driving safety.

System Supports Over-the-Air Updates to Stay Up to Date

While the importance of software in today’s automobiles increases day by day, Hyundai has built this platform on a constantly updateable structure. Thanks to over-the-air (OTA) software updates, users can improve the vehicle’s basic functions or infotainment screen without going to service. This feature ensures that IONIQ 3 owners will have new features for the vehicle they purchase for years to come. Pleos Connect, which can be easily adapted to different vehicle models thanks to its high scalability, will also form the basis of Hyundai’s future electric vehicle portfolio.

Artificial Intelligence Supported Interface Makes Driving Easier

Advanced artificial intelligence algorithms optimize the screen layout by learning drivers’ preferences. A structure has been established where unnecessary warnings are filtered while driving and the driver can instantly access only the information he needs.

This strategy seems to raise the technological hardware bar quite high, especially for the IONIQ 3 model that will be produced in Türkiye. The company predicts that this new software will completely transform the digital ecosystem within the car.
