Hyundai has made an important announcement regarding Bluelink, the eagerly awaited remote vehicle service in the Turkish market. According to information given at the launch of the facelifted IONIQ 6, this system will not be added to vehicle models previously offered for sale.

The system is being introduced to users in Turkey for the first time with the facelifted IONIQ 6. The company states that Bluelink will be standard on all new models entering the market from this date onwards.

Bluelink will only be available on new models

Hyundai Motor Turkey Sales, Marketing and After-Sales General Manager Murat Berkel shared details on the subject on CNBC-e. Berkel stated that the Bluelink system will also be used in the IONIQ 3, IONIQ 5, IONIQ 9 and the electric Staria models after the IONIQ 6.

The question of whether the system will come to existing vehicles with an update has become clear. Murat Berkel, in response to a question about the possibility of a price-based update via the service, stated that even if there is a study on this matter, the likelihood of it happening is low. This technology, offering advanced features such as remote access, will thus remain exclusive to owners of new generation vehicles.

It will be standard in future models

All new Hyundai vehicles, including the first electric model to be produced in Turkey, will be equipped with this connectivity technology. As part of its new generation strategy, the company aims to integrate Bluelink into its entire new product range. Existing users will not be able to benefit from these connectivity features.
