The company officially announced that users who have digital copies on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms will be able to upgrade their games to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions without paying any additional price.

The company is accused of anti-union activities by the ‘IWGB’ for firing 34 employees who were union members last October. Although Rockstar claims that this worker leaked confidential information, it is stated that the information in question is Slack politics in a private Discord server where employees discuss unionization efforts.

The ongoing union case is expected to be decided shortly before the release of GTA 6.

A hearing schedule has been set for the legal dispute between the dismissed employees and the company. The trial, which will start on September 10, 2026, is planned to continue until October 15.
