Google Adds New Travel Planning Features to AI Mode

Google Adds New Travel Planning Features to AI Mode

Google has added new travel planning features to its AI mode. Flight tracking, point-based payment, and hotel reservations are now much easier.

Google has announced that it has added comprehensive travel planning features to its search-based AI mode, which is now available in Turkey, to enhance the user experience. With this new update, the technology giant aims to make users’ vacations more efficient. The AI-powered system provides personalized data across a wide range of areas, from flight searches to hotel reservations.

Integrated with Google Flights, this system analyzes the latest prices by scanning over 300 airlines and travel websites. Thus, users can directly start flight tracking via AI during the planning stage and receive notifications of price changes.

  • Google offers new flight data from over 300 airlines with the system integrated into its AI mode.
  • Users can complete flight and hotel reservations directly through the AI interface.
  • The system allows viewing flight and accommodation costs in points or miles.
  • Initially, the service is supported by major global brands such as Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and Hilton.

Flight Planning is Made More Efficient

The most notable innovation among those included in Google’s AI mode is the addition of the price tracking system directly to the chat interface. When users specify their desired destination and date range, the system automatically lists the most suitable options.

Users can set up automations that receive email alerts when prices fluctuate. This integration eliminates the need for users to switch between different travel portals, consolidating the process in one place.

The Era of Artificial Intelligence Begins in Accommodation Options

The hotel search process, another aspect of travel planning, is also made more visual and user-friendly with artificial intelligence. The system presents hotel options based on preferences, along with ratings, user reviews, and valuable property features. Users, navigating through a visual list, can complete the reservation process with the help of artificial intelligence after selecting the most suitable hotel. This feature aims to save time, especially in complex holiday plans.

Payment Options with Points and Miles are Expanding

Another valuable capability of the artificial intelligence mode is its ability to show not only the cash prices of flights and hotels, but also their equivalents in miles or points at the same time.

While this feature is initially limited to reputable brands such as Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Google has stated that it will increase the number of supported institutions in the future. This allows loyalty program members to use their accumulated points in the most efficient way.
