Xiaomi Flagship Phones to Get Expected Feature

Xiaomi is preparing to use Privacy Display technology, which darkens the screen from the sides, in its new flagship phones. Here are the details.

Xiaomi is preparing to integrate its new Privacy Display technology, developed with the goal of protecting users’ personal information, into its flagship models. This development, which has created excitement in the technology world, came to light through discoveries made by Kacper Skrzypek.

Offering an infrastructure similar to the screen dimming technology used in Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra model, Xiaomi aims to take user privacy to the next level by combining this feature with hardware panel support. This system, which prevents the screen from being read from side angles, especially in public areas, aims to set new mobile security standards in terms of protecting sensitive data.

  • Xiaomi is adding Privacy Display technology, which prevents the screen from being seen from side angles, to its new flagship devices.
  • The system automatically activates on critical pages such as password entry and financial transaction screens.
  • This feature, which works at the hardware level, is integrated with the software infrastructure to improve the user experience.

How Does Privacy Display Technology Work?

This new privacy solution developed by Xiaomi restricts the light emitted by the screen at reasonable angles, ensuring a clear image is only provided when viewed directly from the front.

During user interactions on public transport or in crowded places, it becomes physically impossible for those next to them to see the screen thanks to this technology. Supported by Hyper XiaoAi and special panel settings on the software side, the system works intelligently without requiring user intervention.

Security-Focused Automatic Features Activated

The company’s infrastructure is designed to activate when security-sensitive applications are opened. This feature, which automatically activates especially in banking applications, email logins, or password management screens, protects the user’s information from digital attacks as well as physical prying eyes.

Currently being tested on the Chinese ROM, these features are expected to become standard in the new generation of devices to be released to the global market.

Mobile Security Standards Redefined

In a period where competition in the smartphone market is driven by screen quality and processor power, Xiaomi’s privacy-focused initiative creates a valuable differentiation. This technological approach is aimed at increasing user confidence in their devices, representing the perfect harmony of hardware and software. The standardization of this technology in future flagship models could fundamentally change portable device usage habits.
