Electric Skoda Peaq Passed Tough Tests

Electric Skoda Peaq Passed Tough Tests

The all-electric Skoda Peaq, which will be introduced on June 23, has been tested for more than 1.5 million kilometers on three continents. Here is the powerful testing process of the tool.

Skoda announced that it is conducting a comprehensive testing process for its fully electric model Peaq, which will be officially introduced on June 23. Company engineers measured the durability of the vehicle by traveling more than 1.5 million kilometers on three different continents with prototype vehicles.

The tests were carried out in the world’s harshest climate conditions in Europe, Africa and North America. The electric car, which is expected to offer a range of over 600 kilometers, has undergone detailed examinations in extreme heat and cold.

Endurance Tests in Harsh Climate Conditions

A significant part of the tests were completed in the Arizona Desert, where temperatures exceed 40 degrees, and in regions 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, where temperatures drop to minus 40 degrees. During this process, engineers examined the vehicle’s battery system, driving dynamics, safety technologies and heating and cooling systems.

The performance of the vehicle’s traction, stability and safety systems on snowy and icy surfaces was evaluated. In desert conditions, the effects of high temperatures on brakes, chassis, cooling system and body components were examined.

Thousands of kilometers of driving on dusty and stony roads were used to verify the vehicle’s interior insulation and body durability. Thanks to these intense drives, the vehicle’s compliance with different road conditions was observed in detail.

Virtual Tests and Development Process

In addition to physical tests, virtual tests performed using high-performance computers also played an important role in the development process.

Thanks to these digital simulations, different usage scenarios and climate conditions have now been verified while in development.

Skoda Peak, has been made ready against all kinds of environmental factors with this comprehensive testing program. The company states that it has optimized the performance of the vehicle in light of the data obtained. The technical details and design of this new electric model, which will be introduced on June 23, are eagerly awaited.

How do you think Skoda’s extensive testing processes will affect the competition in the electric vehicle market?
