Claude Found $400 Thousand Bitcoin

With the help of the Claude chatbot, a user was able to access his Bitcoin wallet worth $400,000, which he lost 11 years ago.

Loss of access stories, which are common in the cryptocurrency world, can sometimes have an unexpectedly happy ending. A user announced that he regained access to 5 Bitcoins he lost 11 years ago with the help of the Claude chatbot developed by Anthropic.

The current market value of these assets, which were purchased for approximately 1,250 dollars, reached 400 thousand dollars. The user shared this process with his followers on the social media platform X.

How did the process work?

The user stated that he changed the password of his Blockchain.com wallet as a result of carelessness 11 years ago and then lost access. The user, who tried trillions of different password combinations over the years but could not get any results, uploaded the files from his old university computer to Claude as a last resort.

claude, identified the correct wallet file among these jumbled piles of files and matched it to a clue it found in the user’s notebook. In this way, the user was able to log in to his wallet, which had been locked for a long time. The fact that the password in question contained a very simple and abusive expression was among the interesting details of the incident.

Can artificial intelligence crack wallets?

This incident should not create the wrong perception that artificial intelligence directly broke crypto wallets. Here, Claude served more as an assistant than a password cracker, analyzing scattered files from years ago and making connections between data.

Anthropicand CEO Dario Amodei, the user proved that artificial intelligence is a very effective tool in such data extraction processes. Experts state that this shows the ability of artificial intelligence technologies to organize complex digital archives and combine details that users overlook.

This type of technological assistance appears to open a new door to recovering digital assets that have been inaccessible for years. How far do you think artificial intelligence tools can go in such digital rescue operations?
