German automotive giant BMW announced that it has surpassed the 2 million mark in global electric vehicle sales. This significant achievement highlights the progress of the brand’s long-standing electric transformation strategy.

The company took its first step into the electric vehicle market 13 years ago with the i3 model. This foundation laid at that time played a critical role in shaping the brand’s current electric future.

A 13-Year Journey in Electric Transformation

Since entering the electric vehicle market, BMW has continuously expanded its product range. Particularly with the launch of the iX3 model, the company’s electric vehicle sales gained significant momentum.

This increase is attributed to the brand’s investments in electric vehicle technologies. The company aims to take this process to the next level with its Neue Klasse series, which it says marks the beginning of a new era in its electric future. The new generation models are attracting users with both their range capabilities and the performance values they offer. With these models, BMW continues to steadily grow its market share in the electric vehicle segment. The company’s electric vehicle strategy focuses not only on sales figures but also on the efficiency of production processes. This approach helps the brand maintain its competitiveness in the global market. The 2 Millionth Vehicle Delivered to Spain: BMW’s 2 millionth electric vehicle rolled off the production line at its Dingolfing, Germany. This special vehicle was delivered to a customer in Spain. The 2 millionth vehicle is the i5 M60 xDrive, one of the brand’s high-performance electric models. This delivery concretely proves BMW’s claim in the electric vehicle segment. The Dingolfing factory is at the heart of the brand’s electric vehicle production network. Vehicles produced here are exported to different markets worldwide, contributing to the brand’s global sales targets.

Motivated by exceeding the 2 million mark, BMW continues to work on new models. The company plans to further diversify its electric vehicle portfolio in the coming years.
