The Alo 193 Joint Claims Notification Center , which will bring together post-accident processes in the insurance sector under one roof, will begin its operations on September 1, 2026. Prepared in cooperation with the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority and the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center, this system aims to simplify the complex connection processes experienced by drivers.
The new infrastructure does not completely eliminate the existing application channels of insurance companies. Alo 193 will serve as a central access point in addition to existing methods.
How Will the Alo 193 Joint Claims Notification Center Work?
In the first phase, the system will accept all damage notifications under compulsive traffic insurance and comprehensive insurance. Citizens can easily submit their reports via telephone, corporate website, or a dedicated mobile application.
The moment the application is submitted will be recorded as the time frame when the information reaches the Insurance Information and Supervision Center database. This record will be accepted as the official application date in the calculation of legal deadlines.
In case of possible technical malfunctions or data loss, a situation that would be detrimental to the citizen in the calculation of legal deadlines will be prevented. Reports received via the Alo 193 line will be automatically forwarded to the relevant institutions according to the type of accident and the insurance status of the parties.
Material damages caused by the other party will be transferred to the traffic insurance company of the relevant vehicle. In multiple accidents, the insurance company determined by the system will take over the process.
In cases where the vehicle is uninsured or flees, the Guarantee Fund will intervene. In accidents involving vehicles with foreign license plates, the Turkish Motor Vehicle Bureau and Green Card systems will operate.
In unilateral accidents, material damages will be reported to the comprehensive insurance company, and bodily injury damages to the compulsive traffic insurance company. After the application reaches the relevant institution, the company will be obliged to contact the citizen within the next business day at the latest.
New Security Measures in Insurance Processes
During this meeting, detailed information will be provided about the expert assessment process, accident report, fault rate, loss of value, and estimated repair deadlines. The new system also covers the fight against illegal entities that try to obtain unauthorized damage claim power of attorney by calling citizens after an accident.
These unauthorized claimants who cause harm can be reported directly to the SEDDK via Alo 193. Thus, it is aimed to conduct insurance processes in a more transparent and reliable manner.
Do you think the Alo 193 system will have the expected effect in speeding up post-accident insurance processes?
