MİA Technology and Tripy Mobility signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese CalmCar to bring robotaxi technologies to Türkiye.
MİA Technology announced that its subsidiary Tripy Mobility signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CalmCar, a China-based autonomous driving technologies company. This agreement, which took place in Tianjin, China, aims to commercialize autonomous mobility and artificial intelligence-based transportation technologies in international markets determined by Türkiye.
CalmCar is among China’s leading technology companies developing fully autonomous driving technologies at the L4 level. The analyzes developed by the company are actively used in the platforms of automotive manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Polestar and SAIC Motor.
Robotaxi analysis will be adapted for Türkiye
Within the scope of the signed contract, CalmCar’s autonomous driving system running on Nvidia and Horizon Robotics hardware will be combined with the MIFA 7 electric vehicle platform produced by SAIC Motor. It is planned that the robotaxi solution to be developed with this collaboration will be ready for commercial use in targeted international markets, especially Türkiye.
Tripy Mobility will undertake technical adaptation and localization work in Türkiye in this process. Company; It undertakes critical responsibilities such as planning road tests, operational management, establishment of fleet management infrastructure, development of remote operation and call center systems.

Tripy will also work on robotaxi fleet rental and mobility service models for corporate customers. The company will take the necessary steps to establish commercial operations with public institutions, private departments and international business partners, and will also plan its business activities in markets outside Türkiye.
More than 100 thousand hours of real road testing has been completed
According to the information shared on KAP, the robotaxi platform has successfully completed more than 100 thousand hours of real road tests to date. During the development process, more than 3.8 million hours of comprehensive engineering work were carried out.
Vehicles; It is equipped with L4 level autonomous driving capability, advanced sensor fusion, high-resolution mapping and artificial intelligence-based decision-making systems. These systems, supported by multi-layered security architecture, aim to ensure safe autonomous driving.
Tripy Mobility aims to complete the testing processes to be carried out within the scope of the relevant legislation in Türkiye and start commercial operations after obtaining the necessary permits. Within the scope of its strategies for the European market, the preliminary preparation and official application processes for robotaxi operations in London continue.
