Google clears voice dictation errors with the Rambler feature developed for Gboard. This new Gemini-powered tool is coming to Android in the summer.
Google is preparing to add a new feature to the Gboard keyboard that improves the voice dictation experience. This tool, called Rambler, makes the text more readable by automatically clearing errors and pauses made during speech.
This innovation, announced as part of the Gemini Intelligence package, allows users to convert their voice messages into more professional text. The feature will be available in the Android ecosystem starting from the summer.
The era of voice dictation is changing with Rambler
One of the biggest problems experienced during voice-to-text conversion processes is filler words and momentary pauses in spoken language. Integrated into Gboard RamblerBy eliminating such unnecessary expressions, it focuses on the message that the user actually wants to tell.
The system not only transcribes words but also analyzes the context of the sentence. For example, when a correction or repetition occurs during the conversation, Rambler ignores the incorrect part and directly reflects the correct expression into the text.
This feature is compatible with all applications that offer Gboard support, such as Google Messages, Notion or Slack. Users can benefit from this advanced dictation capability in any area where the keyboard is supported.
Rambler also successfully processes sentences in which different languages are used together, using multilingual Gemini models. Even in cases where languages such as English and Hindi are mixed, the system preserves the tone and meaning of the sentence, producing a more fluid result.
Privacy and device support
Google emphasizes that this new dictation mode is completely optional and attaches importance to user privacy. Audio data is not stored or recorded in any way other than real-time transcription.
The Gemini Intelligence package will initially come to the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices. This feature, which will begin to be distributed in the summer, will also be included in future models such as new generation foldable devices and the Pixel 11 series.
Rambler aims to significantly speed up the voice messaging process by eliminating the need for users to make manual edits.
