BMW introduced the new M2 xDrive model with 473 horsepower and four-wheel drive. Details of this special performance vehicle, which reaches 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, are in our news.
BMW has expanded the performance range of the legendary M2 model and officially introduced the all-wheel drive BMW M2 xDrive version with the prestige of 2027. M2, which until now has only been able to transfer power via the rear axle, gains much higher handling and acceleration capability with the new xDrive system.
This new model, which is expected to be offered for sale in global markets soon, is powered by BMW’s signature 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine. This new version, targeting performance-oriented driving enthusiasts, further strengthens its claim in the segment by combining the brand’s driving dynamics with four-wheel drive technology.
Powerful Engine Combines with Performance
The 3.0-liter unit, which is at the heart of the BMW M2 xDrive model, draws attention with its high performance data. 473 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque enable the vehicle to exhibit superior acceleration both on straight lines and on winding roads.
Unlike the rear-wheel drive version, the car can only be preferred with an eight-speed automatic M Steptronic transmission, minimizing traction loss and giving confidence to its driver.
BMW M2 xDrive reaches 200 km/h in just 12.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest vehicles in its segment.
Driving Dynamics Are Improved with Contemporary Technologies
The new xDrive system is designed with an intelligent operating principle. The system aims to provide the feeling of a thoroughbred M car by transmitting all power to the rear axle unless maximum traction is needed while driving.
However, when road conditions become difficult or high-performance driving is preferred, the system automatically transfers power to the front wheels and optimizes road holding. This technology, supported by the Active M Differential system, maximizes the vehicle’s stability at corner exits.
Design and Color Options Vary
Without making any radical changes in the exterior design, BMW maintains the M2 xDrive model with its existing sporty lines. However, users are offered a wide range of options in terms of personalization.
One of the most striking innovations of the model, which will be available in eight different color options in total, is the addition of the special ‘Borusan Turkish Blue’ color, which has not been seen before in the M2 series. This special color option combines with the aggressive body structure of the vehicle and gives it a characteristic appearance.
With M2 xDrive, BMW combines high-performance driving with the advantages of four-wheel drive.
