Google has started testing a new interface change for its Chrome browser on the Android platform. With this update, users can access the Gemini chatbot much faster through the browser.

The new arrangement is notable for a special toolbar placed at the bottom of the browser screen. The Gemini icon on this bar allows users to connect directly with Google’s chatbot with a single touch.

In the current Chrome interface, the URL field, back button, share button, and menu options are located at the top of the screen. In the newly tested version, in addition to these basic controls, there is a second bar at the bottom of the screen containing the Gemini icon and tab controls.

Users still have the option to move the controls from the top to the bottom for ergonomic use. However, when this process is done, the navigation bar at the bottom takes on a much taller appearance.

The update has started to reach some users of the stable version of Chrome gradually. There is no need for a beta version to access this new feature.

The phased rollout process continues.

This change is enabled by Google via a server-side switch. Therefore, the update is not yet generally available to all users.

This new layout, currently only seen on the devices of moderate users, makes the browser interface a little more cluttered. For those who frequently use the Gemini service, this new shortcut is considered a practical solution.

Google has not yet shared a clear date for when this feature will be generally available to all users. Since the update is not yet active on all devices, it is claimed that the rollout process will continue for some time.
