Advertising Move from Apple: Emerging Team

Advertising Move from Apple: Emerging Team

To increase advertising spending, Apple started to offer direct support to developers by establishing a new team called Emerging Team.

Apple has created a special team to communicate directly with developers in line with its goal of increasing ad spending. This new group, called Emerging Team, offers support to developers who have newly joined the advertising ecosystem or have used advertising before but have taken a break.

The company started its advertising journey with Apple Search Ads in 2016 and expanded it over time, moving it to platforms such as Apple News and soon Apple Maps. This expansion process resulted in Apple rebranding Apple Search Ads as Apple Ads to more comprehensively express its advertising activities.

Special support program for developers

Established within Apple Ads, the Emerging Team aims to reach developers and schedule 30-minute meetings. These meetings provide guidance on launching, scaling up or reactivating advertising campaigns.

Team representatives focus on growth initiatives and customer acquisition strategies in their correspondence with developers. Additionally, expert support is provided on technical issues such as campaign structuring and developing keyword strategies.

Growth target in advertising activities

Apple CFO Kevan Parekh noted in 2026 earnings calls that annual growth in the advertising business continues. The company aims to help developers increase the number of app downloads by increasing the advertising options it offers in App Store search results.

It is planned to start showing ads on Apple Maps in the USA and Canada next summer. This step creates a new channel for local businesses to reach users during their search and discovery moments.

What do you think about Apple’s new move in the advertising ecosystem and the direct support it offers to developers?
