Google Translate is working on the Live Translation feature that does not require an internet connection. Here are the new offline features coming to the application.
Google Translate application is working on a new feature that will allow users to translate in real time without an internet connection. While offline support in the current version is limited to text and image translations only, the new infrastructure developed aims to eliminate this limitation.
In the 10.17.48.914427315.6-release version published for Android, important findings emerged that the Live Translation feature will work offline. This development shows that users are one step closer to their dream of being able to translate by speaking naturally, even in environments without internet access.
Offline Live Translation Experience
The new interface, discovered within the application’s codes, includes a special welcome screen that informs users about the use of offline Live Translation. To use this feature, users will need to download the relevant language packs to their devices in advance.
It seems that the list of language support that Google is preparing is quite extensive. In the initial phase, languages such as English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish are expected to be compatible with this offline capability.

In the current application, trying to use the Live Translation feature without an internet connection results in an error message. However, it seems that this situation will change completely with the new update and the application will become more functional in offline mode.

New Regulations and Future Expectations in the Interface
In addition to the offline translation feature, Google is also planning to make some minor changes to the user interface of the application. In particular, the aim is to move the paste, handwriting and voice input buttons to the same point at the bottom of the screen to make them more accessible.

The fact that such features emerged as a result of an APK review shows that these innovations are still in the development phase. Therefore, it is not clear whether all these functions seen in the codes will be made available to the public with a future update.

Nevertheless, Google’s efforts in this direction are considered a very promising development for the future of translation technologies. The application’s ability to provide real-time translation in offline mode seems to be a great convenience, especially for traveling users.
