EA Sports F1 25 is preparing to offer a more advanced visual experience on PS5 Pro with the 2026 Period Pack and PSSR support.
EA Sports F1 25 is receiving an important update with the 2026 Term Pack. Instead of releasing a full F1 26 game this year, Codemasters decided to take a break for a year to return with a new production that will offer a much different experience in 2027.
According to the announcement made on PlayStation Blog, EA Sports F1 25 will now have PSSR support. The game is available on PlayStation Store with the PS5 Pro Enhanced badge.
Enhanced Visual Experience for PS5 Pro
EA Sports brand marketing manager Mark Roberts states that PSSR integration provides significant improvements over the game’s Quality Mode. The game, which previously ran at 60 FPS with ray tracing features, now promises the best possible visual presentation on console hardware with PSSR.
The game’s Performance Mode also benefits from PSSR boost. PS5 Pro users with compatible televisions and monitors can enjoy a smooth gaming experience at 120Hz refresh rate, and 8K resolution support is also offered with suitable hardware.
New Content and 2026 Term Package
F1 25 owners can purchase the 2026 Era Pack as a DLC expansion. Those who do not have the game yet can access both with the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition package.
Both options meet players on June 3, 2026. The new package includes the high-speed Madring street circuit, designed especially with all these technical features in mind.
The 2026 Period Package brings innovations such as active aerodynamic features and the new Overtake mode. Profession and My Team modes have also been expanded, offering players a completely customizable squad management.
In your opinion, what kind of step do this new era package and technical improvements represent for the future of the F1 series?
