Priced starting at 10,999 yuan, or approximately $1,642, the device’s repair costs are quite high, giving users considerable cause for concern.

Xiaomi 18 Fold repair prices present a very high cost due to the device’s advanced technologies. Especially the replacement prices for key components like the screen and motherboard are comparable to the total price of a standard smartphone.

Screen and Motherboard Replacement

The flexible screen inside the device stands out as one of the most expensive items on the replacement module list. The price for an internal screen replacement is around $536.

The repair cost for the outer cover screen is much more reasonable compared to the internal screen. The price users have to pay for an outer screen replacement is $112.

Motherboard replacement prices vary depending on the RAM and storage configuration of the device. In the entry-level model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, the motherboard price is set at $581.

In the top-of-the-line configuration with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, the motherboard price rises to $885. The cost of this single component exceeds the total sales price of many flagship phones on the market.

Other Components and Special Model

The Xiaomi 18 Fold Ceramic Special Edition model has different repair costs compared to the standard version. The cost of replacing the battery cover, which is made of silicon nitride ceramic, is listed as $156.

The cost of replacing the rear panel of the standard model remains at around $37. This indicates that the production and repair processes of ceramic material are more expensive.

Other parts, such as camera modules and the battery, can be replaced at relatively more affordable prices. The replacement price for the 6,000 mAh capacity battery is set at $39.

The prices of camera modules vary depending on the sensor type. While the front camera costs $6, the replacement cost of the main wide-angle sensor is around $30.

The starting price of the Xiaomi 18 Fold is 10,999 yuan, while the top model sells for 14,999 yuan. The price of the Ceramic Special Edition model goes up to 15,999 yuan.
