AMD’s Ryzen AI Halo mini PC for local artificial intelligence development launches in June 2026. Here are the technical specifications and details.
Ryzen AI Halo mini PC, prepared by AMD for local artificial intelligence development processes, has come to the fore again with a June 2026 release schedule. This compact developer platform, which the company introduced at the CES 2026 fair, aims to be a direct competitor to the NVIDIA DGX Spark model.
The device, which stands out with its Ryzen AI Max + 395 processor, up to 128 GB combined memory and full ROCm support, is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems. AMD’s official calendar states that the product will be released in the second quarter of 2026.
A new platform for artificial intelligence developers
AMD Ryzen AI Halo is described as a small form factor artificial intelligence development station rather than a standard mini PC. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor at the center of the device promises high performance with 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads.
While the base frequency of the processor is at 3.0 GHz, the maximum boost frequency reaches 5.1 GHz. This chip, produced with TSMC 4 nm technology, has 16 MB L2 and 64 MB L3 cache capacity. On the graphics side, there is a Radeon 8060S unit with 40 RDNA 3.5 processing units.
The artificial intelligence performance of the device is supported by the XDNA 2 NPU unit that offers 50+ peak AI TOPS. The unified memory architecture of up to 128 GB allows models with up to 200 billion parameters to be run locally. This feature includes the device in the class of desktop artificial intelligence development stations.
Software support and competitive environment
Ryzen AI Halo delivers an experience that is fully compatible with the latest ROCm software and developer workflows. Popular developer tools such as LM Studio, ComfyUI and VS Code are among the important parts of the software ecosystem offered by the device.
Special optimizations for models such as GPT-OSS, FLUX.2 and SDXL increase the efficiency of the device in the local model execution process. The NVIDIA DGX Spark model is the biggest competitor in this segment with 128 GB combined memory and fine-tuning support for up to 70 billion parameters.
The retail price for NVIDIA DGX Spark is $4,699. The official price that AMD will set for Ryzen AI Halo will directly affect the competitiveness of the product in the market. Although no official price announcement has been made yet, details are expected to be shared closer to the launch period.
Ryzen AI Halo keeps its main focus on productive AI workflows, although it also offers powerful hardware for gaming or standard desktop uses.
