Today, when cloud storage services and high-speed portable SSDs have become widespread, using a reliable USB memory for basic needs still remains important. Kingston announced the new DataTraveler Exodia DTXG2 model in the Chinese market for this daily use need.

The product is currently listed on JD.com and its first official sale is scheduled for May 6.

Technical Specifications and Design Details

DataTraveler Exodia DTXG2 has a hardware structure that is uncomplicated and focuses directly on functionality. Using a standard USB-A connector, this device offers broad compatibility with desktop computers, older laptops and various peripherals.

The memory, which supports the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, is also fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports. On the performance side, the device is designed to meet daily file transfer needs with 50MB/s reading and 5MB/s writing speed.

The product has a structure optimized for transporting text documents, PDF files and small-sized images instead of 4K video projects or heavy media editing. To make daily carrying easier, Kingston has added a loop to the back of the device that can be attached to a keychain or bag.

There is a black cover in the box to protect the USB-A connector, and this cover is designed not to come off while being carried in the bag.

Storage Options and Color Coding

Kingston prefers a colorful design language to distinguish storage capacities from each other. The entry-level model with 64GB capacity is offered in standard black color and is sold with a price tag of 59.9 yuan.

The 128GB capacity version is on the shelves at a price of 89.9 yuan with ocean blue accents, and the 256GB capacity model is on the shelves at a price of 209 yuan with lime green color. The 512GB capacity model, which is the top level of the series, is available to users at a price of 419 yuan with a purple color option.

For the security of user data and the longevity of the product, Kingston offers a five-year limited warranty support for the DTXG2 series. This new series targets users looking for an affordable and practical storage solution.
