WhatsApp is revamping the group chat information screen for iOS. Details of the new interface that comes with members, media and settings tabs are in our news.
WhatsApp is updating the group chat information screen with a new interface in order to improve the user experience on the iOS platform. With the update published on TestFlight, cluster management and media access now become much more practical.
This innovation, which has been available to Android users for a while, is now also accessible for some iOS beta testers. This new design, which divides basic headings such as members, media and settings into three different tabs, eliminates the need for users to scroll through complex lists, allowing users to access the information they are looking for much faster.
Group Information Screen is Organized with New Tabs
This new regulation implemented by WhatsApp makes it easier for users by categorizing group information. Especially in large clusters, finding affiliates or browsing through shared media documents has now become easier. The Members tab gathers the entire group in one place with admin labels and participant lists.
The new interface design increases user interaction by simplifying complex cluster menus.
Media and Settings Tabs Make Access Easier
The Media tab brings together the contacts, documents and messages that were previously scattered at the top of the screen. In this way, users can directly access privately stored content.
The Settings tab contains general management topics such as cluster permissions, notifications and privacy options.
Preferences and Privacy Sections are Updating
Preferences section under group settings; It includes individualization options such as chat theme, media visibility and storage management.
Additionally, Chat Lock and end-to-end encryption verification combined in the Privacy section enable users to manage security on a single screen. This structure prevents the main screen from becoming crowded and offers a cleaner appearance.
Users can now access critical security settings faster.
Update Rolls Out Gradually
This feature, which is currently only available to beta testers, will be available to all iOS users over time.
WhatsApp has not yet specified a clear date regarding the general distribution schedule of the new interface; but more users are expected to see this change in the coming weeks. Users of the new version of the application can check whether the interface is available on their devices.
